Project objective:
Revitalization of forests in the Spačva basin to conservation biodiversity and increase resilience to climate change.
Enhanced cross-border capacity for better resilience of forest ecosystems to climate change.
Planned activities:
- Basseline assesssment – dana collection from existing sources and advanced field observations
- Development of a Green Action Plan for improving the state forest ecosystems in the Spačva – Bosut Basin
- Preparation and establishment of pilot areas
- Joint demonstration of pilot area restoration using a new forest restoration solution
- Establishment of a cross – border gene bank
- Joint development of a forest ecosystem restoration solution
- Dissemination of results and preparation of solutions for uptake by organizations
Expected results:
- Joint Green Action Plan developed
- New soil preparation and planting methodologies
- Forest ecosystem restoration model
The amount of grants from the Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia-Serbia is
