Project objective:

Revitalization of forests in the Spačva basin to conservation biodiversity and increase resilience to climate change.

Enhanced cross-border capacity for better resilience of forest ecosystems to climate change.

Planned activities:
  • Basseline assesssment – dana collection from existing sources and advanced field observations
  • Development of a Green Action Plan for improving the state forest ecosystems in the Spačva – Bosut Basin
  • Preparation and establishment of pilot areas
  • Joint demonstration of pilot area restoration using a new forest restoration solution
  • Establishment of a cross – border gene bank
  • Joint development of a forest ecosystem restoration solution
  • Dissemination of results and preparation of solutions for uptake by organizations

  • Joint Green Action Plan developed
  • New soil preparation and planting methodologies
